GHIS opened in August 2018 for 55 students from around the world. Our aim is to create a group of diverse international and Israeli leaders with the skills and desire to work towards building a more equitable and sustainable future.
In our rapidly changing world, we face an increasing number of global challenges, including migration, climate change, social and economic polarization, nationalism and religious extremism. We need leaders who are more effectively equipped to deal with these problems: leaders who are able to think and act differently, connect across national and cultural boundaries, negotiate and work together – essentially, leaders who understand how to mitigate conflict.
GHIS is a gift to Israel and the world: an enrichment of the impact, experience and pedigree of Givat Haviva, and a vehicle to create in future Israeli and International leaders the skills and the drive to work together towards a better future.
